COVID-19 is likely to produce distressed situations, where stakeholders often seek additional information or resources to help rebuild their confidence. The Government is coming out with relaxations to resume business operations in many areas across the country. Some of the Requirements to resume operation are as follows: 

  1. Group Health Insurance : One of the requirements to resume operation after Lockdown is Group Health Insurance for employees. Health measures must be the first priority for governments, business and society. It is important for businesses to show solidarity and work together to protect staff, local communities and customers. Group Insurance health plans provide coverage to a group of members, usually comprised of company employees or members of an organization. Group health members usually receive insurance at a reduced cost because the insurer’s risk is spread across a group of policyholders.
  2. Shops and Establishments Act Registration : The Government has allowed certain shops registered under the Shops and Establishment Act of the respective states and UTs to resume operations. This Shop and Establishment Act license, forms as a basic license and a proof of your business to apply for other registrations required to run a business in India. This registration is mandatory for several reasons, including the opening of the current account in a bank. 
  3. MSME Registration/Udyog Aadhar Registration : The aim of Udyog Aadhar is to simplify the process for the business owners to register their business under Micro Small Medium Enterprise or MSME. Udyog Aadhar is a government registration that is provided along with a recognition certificate and a unique number [Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum No. (UAM)] in order to certify small/medium businesses or enterprises. The main motive to launch this facility is to offer a way to the government to provide the maximum benefits to medium or small-scale businesses or industries in India, who are registered via MSME. Now, it has become one of the main requirements to resume your business in the phase of COVID-19 during the lockdown. On 30th April 2020 Minister of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India, launch a web portal for MSME Bank of Schemes, Ideas, Innovations & Research 
  4. Other registrations required to  Manufacture Essential commodities to fight COVID-19 : Various Preventive measures to fight Corona Virus include use of Face Masks, Sanitizers, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Kit etc. Manufacturing of all these items requires certain Certification which are as under:
    • ISO 9001:2015
    • ISO 13485
    • GMP
    • FDA
    • CE MARK
The requirement of these certifications may vary from product to product and place to place as per Government rules and regulations of respective area.
